Weekend in review

Can I just say that Sean deserves the husband trophy this week?! Not only did he let me sleep in on Saturday, he also made me breakfast… er, brunch. WAFFLES! And while I was still rubbing my sleepy eyes, he had already waxed his truck, washed my windows, and cleaned the floors. Yeah. Trophy time.

We took Harper to the river bed and watched her swim after sticks. You know you’re ready to be a parent when you spend Saturday entertaining your animal. She was exhausted after all that fetching.

Why yes, that is our new sofa. And it is draped with a blanket so our spoiled dog doesn’t get river sand on it.

We saw a movie, dined with friends, and spent a long time wandering the aisles of Office Max. What is it about office supply stores that makes you want to buy 400 pens and 12 packs of notepads?!

On Sunday, we heard a wonderful message at church about being joyful regardless of your circumstances. It was a fresh reminder to enjoy every season of life, even those difficult times of transition. I was very encouraged, especially since I’ve been struggling with the discomforts of being pregnant. It’s a very strange time, but I’m committed to enjoying what I can and forgetting the rest.ย ๐Ÿ™‚

Have a lovely Monday!

and yes, i do NOT know what it is about office stores and their packs of pens…. it’s amazing. and soooo freaking desirable!! some day when i have more money (and motivation), i’m going to have an organized drawer of AMAZING pens… not a messy drawer full of non-functioning pens. for sure. some day.
